SUPPORTING YOUNG PEOPLE TO ACHIEVE THEIR POTENTIAL

Since the start of the pandemic, the number of young people in work has fallen by more than 260,000 and the number of young people claiming out-of-work benefits has more than doubled.

During this time, The Prince’s Trust has been a lifeline for young people who are reeling from the unprecedented impact the pandemic is having on their job and life prospects. The charity now urgently needs your help to keep up with demand in the face of rising youth joblessness.

Proceeds from the Omaze Million Pound House Draw, Cotswolds, will enable thousands of young people to get employability advice and training opportunities at this critical time, giving them a chance to take back control of their lives and futures.

A word from The Prince’s Trust…

YOU CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

“The brutal reality facing young people right now is that the intensifying jobs crisis is hitting their generation the hardest. They are both more likely to have lost a job in the pandemic and less likely than other working age groups to have found a new one.

We know that being out of work is often an incredibly demoralising experience for young people and can lead to a downward spiral of poverty, homelessness and depression. At this critical time, the funds raised will make a huge difference to young people who urgently need our support to upskill, reskill and get a job, to get their lives on track.

It is more important than ever to help young people through these difficult times, so that they can be supported to tip the balance towards success over failure, towards hope over despair.”

Jonathan Townsend, UK Chief Executive - The Prince’s Trust
